Wicked Gypsy based out of Austin Texas was a rock and heavy metal band formed in 1992. The band featured vocals by Laurie Marks, Guitars by Zac Sondy, Drums by Steve Deahnert, and Bass by Joe Wilson.

Wicked Gypsy released several demos and toured heavily through the Texas rock club circuit. Headling reluglarly at clubs like Dallas City Limits in Dallas, the Back Room and Sneakers in Austin, Sneakers in San Antonio, and The Backstage in Houston.

Wicked Gypsy was nominated 2nd runner up in MTV’s battle of the bands and was voted Austin Texas’ best unsigned band by local radio station ZROCK in 1995.
